Cockroach Soup

Cockroach Soup (Kakerlakensuppe) is the slippery sibling to Cockroach Salad, with players ladling out soup ingredients while trying not to mess up the rules. The game uses similar mechanics—play a card, say its name—but this time the four ingredients are soup-based (like leeks and carrots), and the chaos comes from what you’re not allowed to say… or what you must say instead.

Each round, players take turns adding an ingredient card to the central pot and saying the name—unless the ingredient matches the one just played, in which case you stay silent. But if a special “cockroach” card shows up, the rule flips: now you have to say a different ingredient entirely. It gets wild fast, as everyone tries to keep the pattern straight without blurting out the wrong thing. Great for laughs, especially with friends who enjoy a bit of pressure and noise.
